so im browsing ebay and i find.......

so anyway, as the subject says, im browsing through and i see that someone made a vertical door kit for the mkII so im looking at it, and it says you cant have your front fenders on your car or you have to roll your fenders for the kit to work. and goes on to say that youll stand out in a crowd. needless to say i emailed him laughing at him since if you drive your mr2 around in public without fenders, your gonna stand out in a crowd. i just thought that was funny, i dunno, maybe its not. check it out

no kidding. thats the best deal ive ever seen. you get to buy a half ass kit, then you get to buy struts which you will need to repalce monthly because of the weight of the door, then you need to remove your fenders, or hack them up. if someone bids on that, Im going to email them and laugh at them, I should email the seller and laugh it him too. if you are going to do something, atleast do it right.

Half assed kit, fucked up MR2, door that is damn heavy and needs post to hold it up, man I tell you if I ever see this fool he is getting his ass kicked. Is it me or is it just common sense that you make your kit so that you have to do very little to the rest of the body for your mod to work.

he emailed me back after i was done laughing at him, and stated that the kit works good, you just have to roll a piece of the inner fender back, which can be done with your hands. why he has the entire fender off in the pic baffles me. this guy has outstanding marketing capabilities though, a picture of an mr2 with the fender off and a board holding the door up. ya, he's gonna sell a ton of those :bs_flag:. maybe if it was perfected and he got decent pics he might sell a few but in my opinion, an mr2 with a lambo kit would only look good with an extreme looking mr2 (i know what your thinking, im changing mine, quit laughing).

Lambo doors are the new altezza's, it's all rice. As already said, I might do a couple minor appearance mods, but it's going to be mainly the engine that gets the mods on my car.

i read a thread on the main board stating that VDC is coming out with a kit for lambo doors in november. guess there are more people who are interested in the kit than i thought.
