From my experience, you never really know how things are going to go. Depends on how many people show, and who shows of course.
I just tend to ask up front who's going to be very aggressive, and who's not. I consider myself aggressive but not stupidly so. I don't ever 9/10's on the street. Hell, I don't even typically drive 9/10's on the track.
So on public roads, I'm only at about 7/10's. My 7/10's may be perceived by someone else as 9/10's (if they don't have the experience, chassis set-up, brakes, and tires I do). Still, there are typically some overconfident jackholes going faster and taking more risks on bigger meets/drives.
On mountain drives, I would be more concerned about hitting someone/something or getting taken out by aforementioned jackhole than a traffic or speed enforcement ticket.
That being said, I've been on some great drives where I had a fantastic drive and didn't feel threatened by anyone, even though we were all pushing fairly hard.
If you don't feel comfortable with the pace, put your turn signal on and let whoever is breathing up your ass by the first chance you get.

Sorry guys, I won't be able to make it after all. I have relatives in from out of town. Thanks for the invite and I'll shoot for the next one, whenever that may be.:(

Levi, Kyle and I represented the MR2s. Dave represented the NSX. Then there were two million others representing S2000, WRX, EVO, RX7 and assorted other makes and models.

Good to hear. I wish I could have made it, but I really needed to put some time in on a project car that I need out of my garage.
BTW, anyone know someone in the market for a '93 teal green Civic hatch w/ auto tranny as a commuter car?
It should be ready in a few weeks at the most.
