That drive isn't that bad. I was born in Kansas and know that route well. I won't be able to make it, wish I could it would be cool to have a caravan going.

Car runs beautifully. (jinxxed myself, i know it)

Its just not a "road trip" car. Think about it, haha, full 3 inch exhaust system, 4k rpm,s 80 MPH on potentially mal-maintained highway with Tein coilovers- top it off with a 12 year old sound system with no bass.

Sound fun? No way. Plus, it chews through gas and I will be on the race track, with potentially "race" tires. And I need to get them there somehow. Heh. :)

I can't wait to go, I hope everything works out in my favor.

phoenixr2
06-14-2004, 11:51 PM
I cant wait either. its just going to be a shame when I drive all the way there, only to show all you haters up! :smack:

me when I win

I think half the fun is going to be the caravan out there:)

you guys getting ready, alittle less then a year left!

Total Est. Time: 8 hours, 2 minutes Total Est. Distance: 520.75 miles

who wants to cruise out there. I know I am, derek said hes most likely there. anyone want to plan the trip? itll be easy, leave early them morning before, then get there the night before. that way we can go "Slow" on the way there, and make stops for rest/gas/food/etc. wont be too hard. I might be towing my car, in which case I will bring tools and spares, etc. FRS radios would be a good idea, and probably fun to have. Im definately picking up a radar detector soon, lol.

hell ya, im going with headers and a tko exhaust which i put on my 91 NA yesterday. i think there is about 4 people here in utah that are pretty serious about going. i think we should meet up in colorado and all of us caravan out to kansas next june.

Johnny P
09-27-2004, 11:12 AM
I know alot of the people on the board are spread out between Springs and Denver, if we have a caravan would we leave out of Denver or Springs

Phoenix
09-27-2004, 03:18 PM
i figured

phoenixr2
09-27-2004, 07:48 PM
depending on which way we leave the state we might get the pueblonians to drive to the springs, meet our group here, then drive to denver, join there group then head out up there, or the denver peoples come down here, then we go to ptown, etc. If nobody else wants to plan the trip, I can. what would you guys think about maybe meeting up with some of the states southeast of us? or do you want to keep our CO group together?

:D

oldster
09-27-2004, 11:02 PM
Everyone meets in Limon.

Johnny P
09-29-2004, 07:54 PM
you thinking we should meet up with UT, NM, AZ? Sounds like fun, Should we wait for Cali, or meet up with them on the way? Im sure well end up finding more 2's on the way. So at this point who all is going to this from this board?

Phoenix
09-29-2004, 08:53 PM
i was thinking the same, i know some idaho and oregon guys are going too, we should all meet in colorado and have a huge caravan out to topeka.

oilfield_trash
09-30-2004, 09:24 AM
I'm heading to KS from Casper, WY. That puts me through Denver. I figure that'd be a good place to join in the fun. Unless somebody coming from further North or West wants to meet up even sooner and then head to Denver.

phoenixr2
09-30-2004, 09:41 AM
let me talk to some of the west coasters and see if they would like to do it, that would be bad ass to have a huge carvan from the whole west south west .

Phoenix
09-30-2004, 02:17 PM
ill ask some of the boards in idaho, oregon, and washington to see how many are planning on going. i figure washington and oregon will probably meet in portland, Oregon and then in twin falls, idaho and then on to salt lake city, utah, and then on to denver to meet up with you guys. the northern california and nevada guys could do the same and meet us in salt lake then to denver and have a huge mr2 caravan out to topeka.

oilfield_trash
10-02-2004, 10:31 PM
Just guessing the OR, WA, ID guys will be coming down I25. This thing could just snowball into one big group at denver since everyone will pretty much have to go through there anyways.

Phoenix
10-03-2004, 12:07 AM
ya, through wyoming, i pmed bill on the big board, he said that in a few weeks he is going to set aside a forum for this event and post new information. the contracts and stuff are in the work!

Johnny P
10-05-2004, 12:29 PM
sweet so everybody UT north and west are meet in UT and coming here, and everybody south of UT is meeting here. So were gonna have a 30-40+ carvan leaving Denver, that will be crazy, and so much fun.

Phoenix
10-05-2004, 02:31 PM

ok postin up from sacramento cali

we up here in norcal are plannin a caravan to kansas and it looks like we will be coming right through the middle of colorado. some may be looking for a place to stay, (budgeting) some may just be looking for more 2's to add to our caravan. ill keep you guys in colorado posted. and you can always check on mr2oc in the norcal section

phoenixr2
10-08-2004, 12:06 AM
I could probably help with a place to stay. Im assuming most of you (cali people) want to make it a two day trip. if you guys were to come through we could meet up one night, crash at houses/hotels, then meet up with the rest of colorado people.utah.az,etc the next day.

That would be to subjective, the only fair way is to do it by age with the elders being in front....:)
