About 542 miles to Topeka from Denver. Call it 550.

The MR2 gets around 20 mpg. At an average of $2.35/gallon for premium, that's $129.25 round trip.

The Accord wagon gets around 27 mpg. At an average of say $2.05 for regular, that's another $83.52.

That's $213 in gas, not including gas burned driving around town, at the track day (that'll be another $25 easy), at the drag strip ($7/gallon for 104 octane probably), a little at the autox, etc.

Man, I really can't afford to get any tickets on the way there and back and make it any worse . . .

540 injectors + shitty/safe tuning = poor MPG

Hence, the trip to the dyno tomorrow night to try to improve on the A/F ratio/mapping.

Um, I was talking about highway driving @ 20 mpg. I get 16-18 mpg around town.

Well, I don't know how to tune for Topeka's altitude, so I'll just get my A/F safe for here, and then richen it up by some (???) as I drop down on the way there. Maybe 5-8% richer? :( I have no idea - asked on the big board, no good answers.

I'm sure Flyboy can drop science on this if he cared to.
