I think I've seen that MR2 around the Broomfield area. I believe it's a 95 N/A with the 94+ tails and 95 spoiler. Nice MR2.

I make it a point to be an asshole when I am driving, cause if you're driving anything that's not an MR2 it's not worth my time. :D
But no really, prob bad day or didn't know you were trying to talk to him. I know I can be kind of oblivious at some times to people next to me cause I am caught up with the road ahead of me.

Congratulations, you've just experienced reverse age discrimination.
We old people like to judge you young kids as unworthy of our attention, just as you younguns like to judge us as hopefully unhip out of touch.

Ah . . . I just noticed that. If you'd been in a similar MR2, maybe there'd been a better chance he would have interpreted your attempts to get his attention as something other than trying to race . . . or maybe not.
he probely did think we wanted to race, having been in a gsx eclipes...... o well hopefully i will see it again in my car.....
also hsun hows the car doing?
hay everyone,
i just saw him again today at safeway, it is a red 1994 n/a that looks pritty sharp, but he was a little weard and pritty stuck up imo. i asked him if he was on any mr2 boards, he said no, so i told him about rmmoc and mr2oc but he just srugged it off:(
so i guess that ansowers all of that, nice car though:)

Yeah that's probably the guy I've seen a few times. He and I crossed paths at Flatirons Mall once and it was like the two of us didn't care we were both driving two priceless cars you don't see on the road everyday.
EDIT: What if he's read this now. LOL:roflmao:

A-ha! OK, now I've seen it too. Very clean and shiny, lowered about 1" (or maybe that's just the stock ride height on the '93+ cars), non-tinted windows, white guy driving. Headed south on 287 towards 36 about 8:15 am, got off going west/north. I was in my Accord wagon so of course I couldn't get his attention to give him a thumbs up.
At first I thought it was you Tred - until I saw the ride height and rear wing. Then I put two and two together and realized it had turbo fog lights AND a N/A engine cover.
Hmm, is it a N/A or a turbo?
Then about 45 seconds later Alex went by in HIS red MR2 and also got off westbound on 36 too.
It was a MR2-rific morning.
Tred you got those springs on yet?
hay hsun,
the car is an n/a, looks like a turbo though.
i put the springs on saterday,-had to bleed the breaks twice, no fun going down the driveway hit the breaks and have nothing happen.
anyway, i'm not too sure if i like them or not-i am going to see if i can get use to the. they seem to make a decent differnce compered to stock-but if i push the car around a corner they seem to kindive go crazzy. i dont know how to explain it but its seems to bounce.---some time i;ll give you a ride or let you drive the car,

Umm, were you working on the brakes at the same time? If not, the common solution to removing the brake lines and getting air in the system is to slot an opening in the tab for the brake line supports on the struts and gently bend it open to get the line out without disconnecting it.

Are you on stock struts still? If so, the car is not going to handle well at all, because old OEM struts are not going to handle the increased spring rate towards the bottom of the spring travel well at all.
Lack of sufficient damping + more spring rate = bouncing.
Also, if the car isn't re-aligned, your toe is going to be out of wack, which can also lead to handling problems.
all the things on the suspention are stock. what do you suggest for struts? also am i going to need now shocks?
as far as the breaks, when i took off the springs i took off the break cables, but they needed to be blead anyway so o-well. aslo i got an aligment a few months back, so hopefully it will be ok, any suggestions would be helpfull.

I could answer this, but no offense - its been covered about one-bajillion times on the big board. Or on any import modification forum. The basic concepts are the same regardless of application.
Your choices are basically new OEM shocks, Bilsteins, KYB GR-2s (non-adjustable), KYB AGXs (adjustable), Tokico Illumina inserts (adjustable), or Koni Sport inserts (infinitely adjustable). What you choose depends on what you are going to use the car for, and how low you went.

When ever you change static ride height, alignment settings like camber, toe and front caster are changed. Without a new alignment, the car will not track or handle properly, and your tire wear will most likely be severely impacted as well. You NEED a new alignment, but if you're thinking about changing struts now, wait until you decide on that front.

I think GR2s are excellent upgrades to OEM for LESS that it would cost to order new ones at the dealer. But are they your best choice for the Sportlines? Maybe not.
The Illuminas and AGXs are probably your best bang for the buck. Konis are aruably better, but more expensive.
I would email shox.com for the best price on a set of shocks.
I have never had AGXs or GR2s on an MR2, so you should check with the peeps on the big board. I have a set of GR2s on the back of an Integra and AGXs on my Accord and Miata and they seem OK on the Miata but too soft on the Accord.
