I have a problem with my MR2 and I am looking for a reputable shop to work on it. So I was hoping you guys could give me some insight into the local shops who is good and who I should run away from.

Thanks for the help,
Justin

I've had great luck with Gary at Airport Automotive.

The problem now is that it takes forever to warm up. At startup it will barely move, just kinda chunking along. Once it does warm up (about 5-10 min later) it will run fine untill I get to around 2750 to 3500 and it shudders and then will run and boost fine all the way to the upper rpms. I just want my car back, its been down now for about 6 weeks between me going home for the holidays and waiting for repairs. Driving the suby just isn't enough fun.

not a whole lot I can recommend to increase warm up time, short of a remote start. However those are illegal and sometimes dangerous.
as far as the stuttering, when was the last time you replaced your ignition components?

I reccomend you replace your spark plugs, change them to NGK 6097's. I used to have that problem, changed my plugs, all problems went away. Turbos will always shutter and be stupid, hell, if I try and floor it in 4rth gerar after the car has been on all summer day it will shut down and buck around and make loud clunk noises. But it boost hard and good in first and second gear. I try not to question it and stay off the throttle in the higher gears.

If you feel the need, you can always IM one of us on AOL. Im pureM3TAL
