Dave and I watched the game.
Dave and I went to Canon City.
Dave and I ate at Burger King.
Dave and I came back.

Guess this really doesn't constitute an event does it??

Dave is my bestest friend ever, we've been chillin for nigh on to 45 years now........:)

Why yes it is. January 9, 2005 will be forever remembered as the day the Broncos didn't get it done again and of course commemorating our trip to Canon City.

I had two hamburgers with a diet and Dave had a cheeseburger with a regular coke. We then cruised Canon City's main drag for chicks but didn't have any luck, must have been because it was a Sunday?

Snow sucks for Spyders!

Um, if your MR-S is your only car, you need to get some studless snow tires. Mount 4 of them up on some cheap steelies, or put them on your factory wheels and plan on splurging for some nice aftermarket wheels for the summer season. You will go from going nowhere in snow to being to go just about anywhere in total control, as long as you exercise caution and keep your speeds reasonable.

Tires make you go, turn and stop in snow - not AWD or FWD. Midengine/RWD cars actually do pretty well in terms of going foward in snow b/c a lot of the weight is over the drive wheels (just like a FWD car).

They just don't turn all that well - tend to understeer in snow, for the same reason (not enough weight on the turning wheels).

I hate it when dedicated specific threads get highjacked...............

Thread highjacking is somewhat in the nature of online discussions, when someone sees something mentioned that is important/interesting to that specific person, and the thread changes direction.

This isn't a dedicated "for sale" thread or a "technical discussion only" thread or "only what oldster wants to talk about" thread as far as I knew.

Are you also angry when someone innocently changes the topic of conversation in real-life social settings?

Just for the record, who's the highjacker in your eyes - me or oilfield_trash?

OK . . .

http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dictionary/sarcasm

Definition:[n] witty language used to convey insults or scorn

You can see that the term "sarcasm" implies insult or a disparaging comment. So it still constitutes an incendiary or rude expression.

Your explanation only further muddies the waters and confusticates (sic) me. Was your "sarcastic" comment meant to create serious offense or not?

If it wasn't, it wasn't sarcasm.

Glad to help! :D

^^^ this above comment is neither sarcastic nor combative. I would characterize it as "disarmingly charming," possibly "tonque in cheek."

The "shit-eating grin" emoticon means I am proud of myself.

Thank you for straightning me out. I apologize for the misuse of sarcasm. My original remark had no seriousness attached to it at all. After all is said and done the only think I meant in this whole exchange is bite me.

Very good! Gracias! I respectfully decline your invitation.

Hey, at least we're not in the "doldrums" anymore . . .

I'm trying my best to resist snow tires and wheels. My car is moving back south in August and the way my job is, I only get to drive it 3-5days a month. Just gotta tough it out a couple more monthes.

Ah! Gotcha. That makes sense if you're not going to be up there much longer.

I went up to Tinytown to "meet" my MR2 in flyboy's father-in-law's garage last night - does that count???

Technically I believe that you qualify. Chrissy and Rana however do not since they will have met before the meet, then will proceed to the meet where there is noone else to be met. Obviously you cannot qualify as a meet when the met proceeded the event. It's all quite simple really.
