View Full Version : Work on an MR2 meet! ;) This saturday the 7th!

Hello all,

Quinn and I are getting together this Saturday (11:00ish) so that we can both swap out our fuel pumps. We are meeting at his house up in Fort Collins and the more people that show up the better! I'll bring a case of beer and we can order a pizza or something as well. If you have a project you need to get done on your car, bring it on up! (so long as it's not a huge one lol).

PM Quinn (topo) for his address and hopefully we'll see you there!

Indeed. Glad to see a few people. I'll be leaving my house around 5:30 on Saturday, as I have work at 6, but I assume most will be gone by then.

I'd imagine so. My fuel tank is real easy to get to, as there's no engine in my car :P

The fuel pump is a pretty big pain in the ass to get to! Have you guys done this before?

Man, if this was just about any other weekend I would so be there. Just bad timing for me:(. I just did this a few months ago.

Oh...my...wow, lots of work...but, yeah...needs to be done, even if I only get half done with my pump...good experience, not like im driving my car around these days

Well....We had everything lined up to be done on time. However, there were a few things we forgot to take notice to when putting the tank back in. We now have to drop it back down to fix those things and will get it done tomorrow! Yes, my car's still in their driveway lol. If any of you want to meet with us tomorrow, feel free! My car will for sure be done and we'll try to get as much as possible done on Quinn's

Swap my pump, pull my slave cylinder line/replace it. gas the gas tank is in the way.

I work Saturday from 10-4ish and Sunday at 5.

So Sunday would probably work best, and the earlier we start, the better probably..9:30, 10 maybe, just so we can get everything done?

Sunday it is! And your car won't be a problem at all. Can you get all the engine bay fuel hoses unhooked? You've already done the interior as well correct? It's just a matter of getting underneath and dropping her out. Should be cake. Do you already have the new slave cylinder line?

All but 2 of the fuel lines are undone...the other to Im trying to get undone, but they're pretty well sealed on there.

New slave cylinder line might come in tomorrow...if not, it won't til tuesday, so we may not be putting my gas tank back up quite yet
