We had a last minute gtg on Sunday with Kyle leading us around some great winding roads. Unfortunately these are the only pics we got...

Looks like a blast! I went on an informal gtg bike ride yesterday as well. Went up through some resevoirs and some of the best roads around up north here. Just couldn't pass up the weather!

Hope to meet the rest of you guys soon!

Wow! Really wish I had made it. Would have been the 3rd green one.

I was under my 4runner doing main and crank bearings. (I guess they are only good for 272,000 miles.)

Forgive my ignorance but I assume that means Personal Mailbox? If so I responded to your letter. I also had a general question of where would I look for upgrade parts. Is there a website or an actual store that has a good selection of Spyder upgrades? I'm thinking the first few things I'd like to do would be an intake, exhosts, and a short shifter. Any suggestions. So far I havent had much luck on my search.

For parts:

http://store.monkeywrenchracing.com/

http://www.twosrus.com/

http://ppeengineering-onlinestore.com/category.sc?categoryId=4

For information via forum like this one:

www.spyderchat.com

For your 3 mods:

Cheapest - Short shifter
Most HP - muffler
Most useless - intake

haha great thank you so much. So getting an intake on this car is usless? any alternatives or should I just stick with what it has? Also I forgot to ask this but my headlights look like crap from weathering and so does my hood. Aftermarket Headlights and is it worth it to get a carbon fiber hood or just repaint it? Sorry so many questions, just excited about fixin her up. Never really done this before.

Don't bother with the intake - at best you could get a TRD drop in for the sake of reusing it but there are no performance gains from an intake.

I'll let Kyle answer on the CF hood, I was thinking of going that route since my hood was damaged from hail but I don't think the CF would stand up to the abuse I would throw at it.

Headlights - you can disassemble them and try some cleaner/buffer to reduce the hazing but really, you're gonna fork over some cash for replacements.

cool thanks for the info. I tried the buffer cleaner stuff for the headlights and it helped a little but not nearly as clear as I wanted it.

you need to wet sand then polish- but before you attempt it research it

I'll let Kyle answer on the CF hood...

Any Carbon Fiber Hood for this car will fade from the sun in 2-5 years... My hood and rear deck lid are so atrocious these days that I cant wait to paint them (just cant afford it at the moment)

Only invest in the Carbon fiber hood and or rear deck lid if your trying to save weight, and paint them when it becomes necessary...

Great info. I actually didn't know it would fade that way. I guess a paint job will have to do. I found a coupon in the mail for macco so maybe I'll do that. As for the headlights I bought this stuff from turtle wax that has like 4 different sanders and like I said it got better like the yellow is gone but its just not clear. Looks all smoked or something. Unless someone has had a good experiance with a certain product I'm guessing I'll just have to replace them to make it look good again.

I would avoid macco. I havent heard any good things about them. If you do decide to go that route do all the prep work yourself so all they have to do is spray the car. You will be a lot happier with the results if you do that.

The Macco route is ok if:
a) you prep it yourself and drive the car to them same day
b) you pay for REAL Toyota brand paint, don't just tell them "color match" or "silver"

I'd still suggest elsewhere though.
