Here it is, the Official 2008, 4th Annual, Colorado MR2 Meet
This meet is open to ALL MR2 owners, Enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates any or all generations of Toyota’s Mid-engine, Rear wheel drive, 2seater.

As we all know weather is always a huge and unpredictable factor here in Colorado, So a “rain date” has been set for the following Sunday.

NOTE: Weather you like to Just Eat, Mingle, Check out cars, or Cruise, you are not obligated to do them all, But if you’d like you are more then welcome. So, if you can find one or more aspects of this event to your interest, Please come and show your support for the local MR2 community. Can’t wait to see everyone there!

COMING FROM NORTH OF CASTLE ROCK:
People from North of Castle Rock If your intrested, we will be meeting up on the top level of the Park Meadows parking garage between 12:00pm and 12:45pm. We will be departing there for Castle Rock at 12:45pm.

-Merge onto I-25 S / US-87 S toward COLO SPGS

-Take the FOUNDERS PKWY / MEADOWS PKWY exit- EXIT 184

-Turn RIGHT onto FOUNDERS PKWY / MEADOWS PKWY.

I have been looking forward to this ever since I found out that this was happening. Just realized that it is next weekend and I have a weding to attend. So there is a choice that I have to make come to Denver from Grand Junction and miss the wedding and then get my stuff kicked to kingdom come or come and play with you people. Well I think you can see which way I have to go, but I will really be looking forward to meeting you next year

Well, my Two has been down for over a year and a half (failed PCV Valve lead to a dry engine, OUCH!) but i'm finally getting the engine replaced, and I may just be in this year.
Man, I think the last one I went to was 06... maybe 05. Someone sold shirts that had all 3 gens faded on the back. I dunno.
So i'mma call Toyota-Boulder now, and see if maybe my two will have 4 more cylinders by this weekend. If so, i'll be there to break it in ;)

fluid will not leave the bleeder valve, only air, in the master cyl fluid will not go down into the clutch lines, i could fine no leeks or porblems, clutch slave and lines are all new.

Did you happen to forget to remove any caps/plugs from the new lines/clutch slave that could be used to keep debris from coming in prior to installation?

I know this might sound stupid, but are you filling brake fluid in the correct reservoir? (***Should be filling it in the small reservoir that's near the driver side fender, not the master cylinder brake reservoir***)

haha^ yeah its the right fill area, so i wont be making it to the meet/ but im replacing all the clutch line crap tues or wends next week, i cannot believe i have lost my whole summer to my car being down and havent made it to a single event in my car

Well, I had a great time meeting everyone. There was some nice 2's there... There was an accident on the drive the guy driving the blue mr2 with the sportmaxx rims (didn't catch his name) hit a patch of gravel and went off into a ditch. Looks like he went airborne, rolled his car twice, I am very happy to say him and his passenger walked away only slightly scraped... The car :( not so much. I am uploading the pictures I took. Nice to meet everyone! I am very excited for the next one!

Oh my gosh...glad to hear they are ok. That car was pristine.

I know now is probably not the time, but this is exactly why I stopped going on the drives.

Where did this happen?

I am not quite sure where we were. Yeah it was a super clean car, it's okay though I'm sure he will find a nicer one!

Oh obviously, I wouldnt expect anyone to take pics until everyone was verified in good shape....again glad to hear those guys only got a scratch.

These cars are amazing...what they can withstand and protect the occupants.

That's what bothered me the most. Everyone was doing a great job, no stupid passes, just taking what the road and traffic would offer us. Until one turn it was almost a perfect cruise.......

The accident was pretty crazy-sliding into the ditch, then flipping twice.
It was a tricky turn: a fast turn in, but with a slight slow down at the end.
Well, the occupants were lucky, and for a bonus-the cop was very chill.
The cop was telling how sees accidents there all the time, and older people
racing their corvettes and porches.
I don't know what to take from this; I thought we were pretty careful and not as speedy as other cruises.

Yeah, I am still trying to decifer what to take from it as well... Honestly it made me think that I should probably go out and practice emergency driving situations like snap oversteer. I thought I knew my car pretty well but last night in a parking lot I was messing around in the rain and basicly replicated the same snap oversteer that happened to him (much slower speeds). These MR2's are a very tricky car to recover once they begin to go sideways.

Thanks to all that showed up at the meet. I enjoyed everything alot, except for the crash. It made me especally sad to see a car the same as mine not look good anymore. Getting to see what happened up close and in person it really looked like he had saved the slide and at the last min the car decided that things were just not done yet. Like the other post I too am very glad that the two of the guys came out of such a nasty crash relatively unhurt. I am really sorry for the loss of you 2!!!! I am really looking forward to the next meet.

You didnt ruin it man, by any means. Stuff happens and we make the best of it. I am glad your back up and about. We all tried to stick around but the police officer told us to leave. Are you going to get another MR2 or find something else?

I was trying to check out your engine at the parking lot, but you never opened the lid. Was it just all stock? Did it take a good beating when you rolled the car?

Yup... they were disconnecting the battery. For awhile they didn't believed us that the battery was in the front.

Weird. It didn't even look like you were going fast, at all... how did you lose control all of a sudden?

Not to bash on you or anything, but i think a lot of us on here are surprised that you flipped at that speed. I know i myself have taken turns like that WAY faster to where my car should have definitely flipped (knock on wood), yet it didn't. Was there gravel or something on the road?

Either way, who cares about the car? I'm glad you both are okay and surprisingly came out with very few minor injuries.

I watched that video a ton of times and I don't see how that happened. you were not going too fast, you didn't let up, I didn't see anything on the road.

I don't know how fast we were going but my tires and suspension were very close to their limit. He did not roll until the car went off the road and hit a berm which launched it.

actually there was gravel on the road. but yea i dont know how that happened either. we werent even going that fast. the tires just lost traction all of a sudden and we werent prepared for that. but yea its alright i suppose, nothing to bad happened. well ill have her all fixed up sometime and she'll be up by next season. hopefully
