Mr2 Meet 10/10 Bishops Castle (http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=5418711&uid=2529696&members=1)
So, at 11 Rana and myself arrived down at Safeway, to see that only Dave (the quiet NSX owner friend of Lyle) and Lyle & Ellie (his wifey and sorry if i misspelled that ) were there... on time. ;)Next to show up, was Shawn, then Jeff and Eylce & Dan!
lol we waited around to see what was gonna happen, gave Daniel a call at... 11:10ish telling him to get down here.. and so then we leave about (minus Shawn who wanted to meet up with the Denver folk up by Daniel's house).. 10 till 12 (an hour later) and make way for Canyon city. We give Daniel a call, to seee where he is, and he was at Safeway...
sooo we pull off onto the right side, wait for a while for Eylce & Dan to catch up, and then for Daniel to join us.. but he already turned around.. stupid Daniel... ;)
So, then we continue on our way, have a very relaxing drive down to Canyon City. We get there, and stop at the really cute little Mexican place that Lyle picked out. The food there was reaalllllly good, but i don't think they like parties of 5+ So, we leave there about.. 2 ish?
Dan, Rana, myself and Eylce are all tired from eating (hehe..) so we try to find a gas station.. that's open.. on a sunday that we can buy drinks from, and Lyle is fired at this game!! so we eventually find one, stock up - and head on our way out.
We take the scenic route down through Florance, and get stared at by a bunch of boys on the side of the road, lol (maybe it's just because of the NSX ;)) and so, we keep on south!
We start to get into the hills, and the trees are all beautiful and get stuck behind some sloooow people.
*note there was no crazy passing this trip (probably because of the wifey ;))*
We get up into the Hills, and Lyle starts to let loose and have some fun :) The road was all... loose gravely which kinda sucked, but overall the drive went very well.
We arrived at Bishops Castle then, and start to climb and explore. First thing i do is drag Rana and Jeff to the highest tower :) Then Dan came up there and helped some little scared 12 yr old girl (it was SO funny..) We hung out at the castle for a while, took a group picture of us (which is on the wifey's camera!) and we start heading out and the guy that's doing the castle is on the side of the dirt pathway working on trees... shouting about lawyers. lol and hes' just going off.. to nobody. Kiiiinda strange.
So we leave then with one goal, to find a respectable restroom. So we drove down to a little town, and stopped at a Loaf n Jug, cleaned all the bugs off the windshields, and achieve our goal :) We then head out again, back home since it was a jump and a skip away from i-25. We just took i-25 all the way up
About after Pueblo we gave Daniel a call to set a meeting place up so both groups could merge, and it was set for Sonic on Garden of the Gods. Dave parted, as well as Lyle. (Lyle had to go feed youngster hehehe) So, sad thing is.. we beat them to Sonic (even though we were coming up from pueblo!!)
LOL so, when everyone else arrived, we just stood around BSing, waiting for Lyle (if he was gonna come back) because i wanted to do a nice picture of them all over in GOTG, alas.. Lyle never came back. (otherwise, we would've had a Mr2 of every color... besides blue and yellow.. if Lyle came back!) then, we decide that it's a little cold, and head out to Old C's
At Old C's it was a 1/2 hr wait, which then magically turned into a "we need our waitress" sooo we left for Red Robin, where we split up into 2 groups. We got drinks, fries and some food and just had tons of fun (at least our table did!!!! because ours was cooler!! ) Then everyone parted their ways :)
Thanks to everyone that came on such .. short notice *kinda short*, and special thanks to all who came on the drive :) It was a great meet to close out the season with! (watch it snow next week..) I had a great time :)
