Hey Gang,

We all know Shaun can autocross really well, but bad new for all of you who were trying to catch him- he got race tires. And man did he ever get fast! In fact he finished first in the Novice class today!

Congrats man! Geez, I just looked at your profile. You were born a year after I graduated high school.

Thanks Shaun, I'm pretty excited too. I've been reading books and such, but some things came together when I was able to ride with John in my car. That helped me a lot more than riding with someone in a different car. He helped get it set up well too.

My big take away was learning how to get on the gas a lot earlier and use it to help turn the car. I had read it in books, but finally understood it yestereday. You swear you're in too hot and you feel the front pushing, but instead of backing off and making it push more, you jump on the gas and it goes right where you want it!

Still hoping the run orders work out so I can ride with you sometime.
