I'm going today again. The drifting part is DEFINETLY worth it! I stopped by yesterday to check it out and ended up staying all day! Unfortunately, there were some EXTREMELY bad crashes, and one person got ambulanced out of the event, but overall the drifting is great.

i was there yesterday. i actually got in for free since i went in the back entrance AND i got to cruise down there in a 400hp supra :D

there was this sweet MR-S with green wheels. i wonder if he was on here

i was there both days, but did not pay to get in, i was on top of the bridge with my friends, really good seats for free :)

I was in the staging/starting line area a few times, they were DEFINETLY the best seats in the house!!!!!!! :lol:

There was only one crash today, and fortunately it was not very bad and fairly easy to fix for the owner.

The guy in the green kouki s14 did AMAZING all day and gave it away against the Enjuku Racing s13.5 but gave him a run the whole time.

Great event, hopefully they come back again, and hopefully my FC will be ready :lol:

It's a group of guys who's cars are too pretty to race so they put them in car shows instead. They felt left out because they dont have a "race team" so they decided to get together and create the "show team" :rofl::lol:

Though I know your just "busting my chops", I will have you know that both the RX-7 and Eclipse are getting ready to do Road Racing as well as Im sure some drag, and the MR-S and Mazdaspeed Protege will continue to do the Autocross... The other 3 cars that showed this weekend, are indeed "too pretty" and will stick to being show whores ;) :thumbu:

Basically, its judged based on your speed, entry, angle at which you are sliding the car, and how close you can get to the "Clipping" cones with the font bumper...

When they are tandem drifting, its based on all of those factors, and like a Togue if you can keep up with or get away from the other guy...

Chance will probobly come on here and correct me, as Im no Drift expert but thats what I know...

Okay, when you start the course in eliminations, it is 2 cars going at the same time around the track and you decide who goes first. If you both have a clean run, then you will switch positions and the car that was following will now lead. The course and drivers are judged on a points system typically around 100 pts. The things that you are judged on are:
1. entry speed on the first corner
2. angle of drift
3. speed throughout the course
4. accuracy - or how close to the clipping points you are
5. showmanship - how much smoke you throw and how much you throw the car around
6. throttle on the first corner (they want you wide open until the exit)

For the driver who leads, he is just running his own race and basically trying to drive away from the other guy. The following vehicle has to try and mimic every move the lead car makes while staying as close as possible and keeping as close to the clipping points as possible so he doesnt lose points. If both the 1st and 2nd runs are tied in points for the drivers, they will run once again sort of like sudden death until someone wins. If you hit a cone/wall/the other guy or spin out/fall behind/etc then you lose and do not proceed to the following rounds.

There is much more too it, but this is a basic run down so you know what they judges look for and what the drivers have to do. Dont hesitate to ask me about anything as I have done A LOT of research on the rules etc. :D
