Hi guys. I think it's awesome that you all have your own regional forum. Some great cars have come out of the RM area. You guys do good stuff.
Looks like Ken's gotten himself into a little controvercy here. Let me say that I like Ken. That is why I hired him. Even when he and I fought our viscous flame wars I still knew that he would help me if I really needed it. In fact that is what built our bridge to peace. He needed a part for his 5S based stroker and I overnited it to him without even asking. He is a good person and always willing to help someone out with their MR2. He takes time to listen to a customer's needs and answer their concerns. He believes on our products because he knows we don't sell what we don't like. If we think a product is a waste of money we'll tell you.
I TRY to run ATS like I would hope to be treated. Unlike many shops our front door remains locked. Customers enter through the side door, that leads directly into the shop. We dont' mind giving tours of the shop and showing visitors our personal cars or other customer's cars. So if you are even in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area feel free to stop by and visit. Just please be respectful of our time (because another customer is probably paying us to work on their car).
My other hobbies? Well running ATS takes a bunch of time. There isn't that much money in it, so you really have to enjoy it and be willing to put in a lot of extra hours (without getting paid). I spend about 12 hours per day working for ATS. But I'd rather run ATS than work any job I've ever had before so it's OK. Still there are times when I just need to get away so I like:
Jet skis. What can I say, it's HOT in Texas. We have a couple of lakes pretty close to us. One in ~8 minutes from my house. We have several jet skis. Scott and I each have a 2 seater Polaris 785 PRO race skis that will pull nearly 3G's in the water. Scott and I also have Yamaha Superjet stand-up style skis. We are both trying to learn some freestyle tricks. Not much luck so far.
RC airplane. I'm not very good, but I bought an Aerobird Challenger a couple years ago. Luckily I bought mine at a time when they had some defects, so after I crashed the heck out of mine and an unrelated part like the transmitter broke I was able to return it and get a new one. It's an awesome distraction because when the plane is in the air you can't think about anythign else, so it really gets you mind off the stressful stuff.
Ha, I guess that's it. I've got a great wife named Christin. We've been married for 6.5 years now. She loves MR2's and drives our 93T (http://www.atsracing.net/Aaron93MR2.htm) more than I do.
Oh yeah, here is a link to my MR2 (http://www.atsracing.net/Aaron91MR2.htm).
