I just received a letter from Pueblo Motorsports Park concerning the possible closure of yet another racing facility here in Colorado. If we do not stand up and do something now, eventually all the racing facilities that are available will be closed. This will lead to people not obeying traffic laws and racing on the streets. Even if they leave one open, Bandimere, if they are a monopoly they will charge as much as they can and people will have no choice but to pay it. I understand that many of you will be unable to make the trip all the way down to Pueblo, but at the very least make an effort to write an email. I don’t want racers forced into the streets and endanger the lives of others. Please do what you can if not for yourselves, then for the children.:fiddle: Haha, sorry I was on a roll.
Here is a copy of the letter I received and an email address:
>>On Thursday, August 10, 2006, the committee planning the future use of the Honor Farm property, which PMP is part of, will be holding an open meeting at the Pueblo Convention Center located on first Street between Santa Fe Avenue and Main Street, (One block west of Interstate 25 at the First Street exit (98B). The meeting begins at 6:00pm.
This is our opportunity to express, be it in numbers or in statements of support, our opinions concerning the importance of Pueblo Motorsports Park to our lives, Colorado and the Pueblo economy.
All of us may not get the opportunity to address the committee however, supporters are encouraged to attend. This committee reports directly back to the Pueblo City Council.
Everyone is invited. Drag Racing supporters, Road course groups, Bike riders, Quarter Midget enthusiast, High School participants and anyone devoted to Pueblo Motorsports Park.
Please attend, if at all possible. If you cannot attend and have not sent an e-mail expressing your support of PMP, please send it to me ASAP so I can include it with the others.
If you have any questions, please post a message here. Also, not everyone has the internet so please pass the word to everyone.
Thank you and Blessings to all,
Earlene<<
